TP-Link Archer T4E (AC1200) Dual-Band WiFi 5 PCIe Wireless Adapter

I've used this product for more than a month, hoping to utilise its faster wifi specification being 802.11ac. Even though it can see my 5Ghz wireless AC access point channel with full bars, it fails to connect to it. I ended up using the 2.4 Ghz wireless N channel. I did not return the product because it works fine with lower wifi speed. However, after a month of using, my wireless connection gets dropping out. I thought it was a driver problem, but after re-installing the drivers, the wifi drop out still persists. I don't recommend this product! I read some reviews here that said it was fantastic, other reviews said it would drop the internet, have incredibly low download speeds & that their cell-phone had a better wifi reception than the card. Well guess which one I am. I had to buy a $150 wifi booster to get this to work, & now get about a 2 -4 second lag for every web page I try to open. I am 15 meters from the router & get just the dot of the wifi logo, .5 mbit downloads... a long way from the 850+ advertised. My cellphone & TV in the same location are on full signal.

I am going to try & source some better antenna & see if that helps. Bought this a couple days ago, out of my 800 MBS i get around 2 MBS. This network card came with the PC I got from pbtech. I've been using it for 5 months and I've given it every chance to work. Even with a top-of-the-line router sitting right next to the pc, I still max out at 25mbps (3MB/s) on 5ghz wifi. Not only that, I get problems with the connection dropping quite often. In my case, this product sucks. It claims to be able to achieve speeds of upto 867mb/s on 5g networks. With my PC right next to the router(5g, gigabit internet), I was only getting 200mb/s - which is average at best(for a card that claims upto 867mb/s). This gets worse when through even one wall, I was only able to get 70-150 mb/s. It also happened to be incredibly unstable when it would cut out every 30 seconds or so - which is extremely painful when doing stuff like gaming. Phones in my household were able to attain speeds of nearly double what this wifi card could get, which is pitiful. Don't buy this. In my case, this product sucks. Very helpful internal wifi card. It supports a 5 ghz connection and is small with low profile compatibility.

I needed a card that was half height for wife's machine. This installed without an issue and is running perfectly. Great speed and plays well with all other gear. So this card came with my PC, as soon as I turned it on, it was kinda slow. I turned the Beacon Interval to 20ms and set the wireless mode to 802.11a/n/ac and it boosted the signal. (Make sure to have a router that supports 5ghz for this to work.) So this card came with my PC, as soon as I turned it on, it was kinda slow. Bought this as part of a recent PB Tech built PC and regret it. Despite other devices in the room working fine, this has a signal strength of one bar, with exponentially increasing drop outs that require troubleshoot/resets before it will reconnect to the internet. Replacing it with an external adapter (funnily enough, also from TP-Link Archer) suddenly gives me three bars and a stable signal. Bought this as part of a recent PB Tech built PC and regret it. If you need a wi-fi adapter without breaking the bank, this one is the one to go for. Unfortunately, I experience sometimes cuts on the wi-fi and you realize is not as good as the integrated ones, but will still go for it again if I needed to buy one in the future.
