Very happy to have switched to this TP-Link system from D-Link, no more drop off or random disconnection. Easy install with the Deco App and you get good system updates and monitoring. If you want a Mesh system that is easy to set up this is your product. It was fast and easy to set up on Spark. The unit themselves are large and cumbersome. They provide good coverage, however the most concerning thing I found was that the units were all running very hot. I discovered that the vents at the bottom don’t have enough air flow. Essentially they have been designed with little space between the vents at the bottom of the unit and the surface below. In the end I have had to tip all the units on there side to provide plenty of air flow underneath, which has solved the problem. Relatively easy to set up after I worked out the correct login for my internet provider. If you get the login details or setup settings wrong you do need to reset the router and start again from scratch. It took me a while up realise you can’t go back and change it in the app.

My second learning is to sync the additional mesh routers in the same room as the “host” and then move/position to other rooms.

Easy to set up using the Deco app, and the VLAN tagging works smoothly when connected to the Fibre ONT box. I upgraded from the 1st-gen Google WiFi mesh routers because some of my work devices were having VPN connection issues. With this router, everything worked straight away. I also have the second router connected as a wired backhaul, and the wifi range throughout the house is great.

Crap app. Connection instructions do not work. Wasted hours of my time trying to connect it. Once connected, it kept dropping out. i have a very small wooden house. No steel or concrete to block the signal. Yet it won't even reach 10 meters to the next room. Complete waste of money. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Crap app. Connection instructions do not work.
