Wifi is great, Homeshield less so

The range of the wi-fi and speed of the wi-fi is great as expected and the quality of the product is there. Setup was easy. I upgraded from another TP-Link router (because of a deadspot in the house I couldn't resolve, which is sorted now) and had subscribed to Homeshield as it helped me limit the amount of screen time the kids have. On this new router though, Homeshield just doesn't work as well and seems to be missing some of the features it had on the other router, which is weird to me. I can work around this issue (until hopefully they fix it) but it is a little frustrating.
