Ubiquiti UniFi (UCG-Max) 2.5G Cloud Gateway Max with NVR

For me the UCG-MAX is an excellent "gateway" into the Ubiquity Unifi ecosystem. Perfect for a home setup with a mix of wired and WiFi devices. Easy to setup and get going.

The UCG-MAX has a lot of functionality but it gets very warm so might not be suited to an unventilated space.
After setting up it works fantastically and I would highly recommend for someone looking at setting up a medium Ubiquiti network, and those looking to explore all of the ubiquiti features. The UCG-MAX has a lot of functionality but it gets very warm so might not be suited to an unventilated space.

No installation information provided. Would not connect automatically to Spark ISP.
After internet search I was advised to connect a laptop to LAN Port 1 on the UCG-Max and via a web browser go to https://192.168.1.1
I could then enter the Spark access details.
The inbuilt UniFi Protect works very well for controllng security cameras along with the inbuilt 512GB SSD.
Being new to VLANs it took me several days of trial and error before I could get 6 VLANs working as required. The main problem is that the UniFi Network browser interface is continually being updated/improved so that online video tutorials vary a lot.
