Brother PTD210 Handheld Label Maker

Needed to label a number of crates and this is perfect. The labels adhere well and stay looking like new.
My work has the larger Brother and that is also excellent if you need the larger print size.

Still getting to grips with all the fonts and options. Intended to get the base model which had been impressed with from work. Glad went for the next model up. Tried this the day it arrived and batteries expired after approx 20 minutes. Just fitted brand new, 'good brand' heavy duty batteries, and had the low battery warning after 15 minutes. Considering it takes 6 x AAA batteries, that make's for very expensive labels. Also, I found the display is not easy to read unless you're in a brightly lit room. I tried adjusting the contrast but found it made little difference. Apart from that, it's easy to use and prints very nice labels. PB Tech were selling this at a much lower price than other retailers so I will just have to look for a power adaptor. If you're using batteries, you need decent ones. Don't just get the cheapest AAA batteries.
Eveready Super Heavy Duty aren't good enough.

I just ordered the 9v AC adaptor because sometimes I'll be using it at my desk anyway.

The tape it comes with is 4m and that runs out pretty fast if you're labelling a lot of stuff.
The normal length is 8m but double check.

There's no actual warning when you reach the end of the label tape. It's maybe 5-10cm of unusable tape.

I've never had a good labelling system, so that's maybe why I love this so much.

When you turn it off it'll keep whatever you've just typed/done, so when you turn it on again it'll be there. Great when using batteries. On/Off is about 1sec.

I've ordered more label tape since I ran out of it. Whatever will I do until more tape arrives?
