I hade hoped for an elevation but this is really only for if using a keyboard with it (but I use the laptop keys) as too steep for what I wanted - never mind kept it as not worth hassle of returning. It is simple yet great solution when it comes to using your laptop like a desktop monitor. Allows you to adjust the screen height to ergonomic requirements. I would not consider this a Laptop Stand, it's more suited to something smaller.
I gave it to a family member to use for their Tablet, as it was far too small to hold my (thin & light) Laptop & too much of a hassle for me to return. I would not consider this a Laptop Stand, it's more suited to something smaller.

Although it's only plastic, it's very stable. My posture has improved already with the screen's increased height! Plenty of air space for cooling.
