Better sound than the previous models, perfect speaker that balances sound performance with portability and durability. Waterproof is great functionality for listening in the shower or taking out on the boat in summer. We also just discovered that you can connect multiple UE Booms to each other and daisy chain them! This functionality is epic for parties/bbqs. Potential disadvantages - not super loud and bass isn't amazing but still the best balance of price, portability, sound. You won't be disappointed. This is a replacement boom for my previous one that I sadly lost on a camping trip. That boom was still going strong after five years, and I expect this one will do the same. Excellent product from Ultimate Ears as expected. This speaker has fantastic 360 degree sound that can reliably be used in any environment.
