I have a Microsoft Surface with two type C ports and a whole load of USB memory sticks and peripherals. When I bought the Surface, I also bought a hub with HDMI and Type A ports but that's a bit of a pain to disconnect when it flops around off the side of the Surface when being carried.
This little adapter is great for those times and provides the connectivity I need when working away from my desk. It dos stick out a little so be careful not to knock it but its a whole load easier than the Hub.
