I have an external Blu ray writer that like many people cant use in their newer style PC cases.
Works perfectly with the Unitek Y-1039 and is small enough to fit into an exsisting 5.25 dvd external case I have laying around (with a little modifying of the rear of the case)

Hooked this up to my old hard drive and found all my old files. Was even able to reinstall my old program off it to my new hard drive . Great I would recommend the product. Haven't had any issues with this, and it does what I was expecting. Nice USB-SATA bridge with external power for the 3.5 inch drives. No need to pay extra for a case. Great product. This product was perfect for my requirement to check contents of some SATA drives scavenged from old computers. It was easy to plug everything together and view the drive contents in Windows Explorer.
It's hard to find any cons - it just works. Maybe the type of wire used for the power supply could have been more flexible, but that's just being picky. It fully met my expectations and requirements. Awesome bit of kit for the price, Was able to read old hard drives without the need for software as it is just plug and play. Can now transfer stuff between the computer and external hard drive with no issues.

Also plugs into our tv usb and plays movies from the hard drive as that;s what we needed it for.
