I also own a 1S bulb and the W3 seems like an improved version of it, mainly the reliability of the wi-fi connection. Like it set up on first attempt (not the case with 1S), and has not yet gone offline and needed to be turned off and on again or re-added. Have three of these in my room. Absolutely love them. Have them set up with my Alexa so they automatically turn on/off and certain times and change to specific colours at certain times. Got in on sale and works perfectly fine. I've been using for over a month and I love how it integrates with Google Home. I no longer need the app to turn it on or off. Yeelight app functions well to control the light and has fun modes like music, sunrise, sunset etc. Definitely recommended. Works well and connects reliably to WiFi.

Easy as to use and setup. I appreciate being able to control it with google assistant or the app. Just sit back and change brightness or turn off with a quick word. Pros:
Easy installation, no hub, works as advertised

Cons:
Yeelight app is slow, make sure to link it too google home for more responsive controls and the ability to control the lights by voice (not having to unwrap myself from my blanket to turn off lights is so minor but so good)
The colours aren't super accurate but that doesn't bother me personally. Pros:
