These cables are of an excellent build-quality, and thankfully a lot easier to come by than they were just 1-year ago. I've bought several now of varying sizes, and every time they've delivered.

If you're less tech-savvy, the quality of an HDMI cable *does* matter - especially on higher-end AV equipment, and often those included 'free' with your tech just barely meet the spec, or are more likely to have manufacturing defects. Because of this, it's good practice to give the included cable a go, but be prepared to buy a higher-quality one if issues arise. Hpurchased to connect soundbar to TV so can get e-arc connection going. Worked perfectly, highly recommend. Thickness of cable is fine, I was tempted by the thin ones but this works great. I have bought 3 now. House is 4 years old and all the ones installed have failed due to weak plug connections.

It's an okay cable if you are just running 1080p at 60hz. But at 4k, it could not handle 120hz and HDR.
