Dynamix C-HDMIDP-1 DisplayPort 1.2 to HDMI 1.4 Cable - 1m

It is not clear which direction the cable operates. In this instance we needed a cable to go from HDMI TO a display port plug in the monitor but this cable only works in one direction - Display port on the device to HDMI monitor.

Quite interesting to find that hardly anywhere sells the opposite direction cable and we had to go through our computer support team to find a supplier in Christchurch. Just what I needed to convert the HDMI ports on the monitors to the display ports on my laptop docking station. Works great, no flimsy adapters. At first I thought that I had the wrong cable, as the description varies a tiny bit from website to packaging. But as it turns out, if you are outputting from Display Port and your monitor is HDMI then you don't need to be concerned about directionality inside the cable. The only other trick that confounded me was finding which display port my video card wanted me to use first. Then presto - a picture. I purchased this product and found that it worked with no problems. The quality of the product is a high grade. The only thing I don't like was the cost, I believe PB Tech can do better in pricing. Nice adapter, works a treat, and is barely bigger than a standard DisplayPort plug. Very sleek.
Because this uses the DisplayPort cable, with the adapter on the HDMI end, the bend radius of the cable is slightly more than a plain HDMI cable; allow 100mm clearance behind the HDMI socket to let the cable bend without putting strain on the plug.
This was the best price I found on the web in NZ, even including delivery and the credit card surcharge... don't expect overnight delivery, or even next day despatch.
