I got this thinking to replace the shorter one i have. With my Acer X34 3440x1440 this cable doesn't work, plugged it into same Dp port on graphics card as the other cable and no signal, plugged it into a different port and it flickers on for 1 sec then off for 1 sec. While the price was good, the cable is not VESA certified and I've had issues with the screen cutting out, and also my GPU having driver/Gsync instability issues! It works but very unreliably and if you've never had these issues before it can be a bit scary as you think you may have a faulty GPU or some other issue, which is far more expensive than a simple cable replacement.

Spend the extra money and get a quality VESA certified cable to avoid these issues! While the price was good, the cable is not VESA certified and I've had issues with the screen cutting out, and also my GPU having driver/Gsync instability issues! It works but very unreliably and if you've never had these issues before it can be a bit scary as you think you may have a faulty GPU or some other issue, which is far more expensive than a simple cable replacement.

For years my Dell 4K monitor sometimes wouldn't turn on when I resumed my computer from standby, and the monitor would regularly blank when things happened nearby like a tumble drier being turned on. I thought it was a video card or monitor problem, but when I replaced this cable with a higher quality Startech cable the problems went away. This makes me think this cable is adequate for some circumstances but I would suggest going with a higher quality cable if you have problems or value quality.
