Saves me the effort of plugging in my dock to the USB A cables of my old hard drives.
I'm absolutely happy to have my MacBook Pro work well with my old portable hard drives at full speed.
As I am not using a dock with wonky cables, I can now backup on Time Machine reliably.
And it means I can can access my hard drive from my phone or tablet directly. Saves me the effort of plugging in my dock to the USB A cables of my old hard drives.
