Thermals can be a bit on the high side on idle with 3600X with the stock cooler, but a better air cooler or an AIO will solve that problem. Performs well. If you do more cpu intensive tasks, I'd recommend getting something more powerful, perhaps one of the R7 or R9s. Works great for a good price. A huge upgrade from my previous processer which was long overdue for a change, now I have no issues with my pcs speed.

I got this when it was only a little more than the 3600, I don't think there's a big difference between the two but if it's only 10-20 more or comes with another bonus then go for it.
