The product worked well but I wanted to use it for a SSD which didn't accommodate. When my beloved PC died, a wonderful PB Tech staffer called Chris Perrone talked me through removing my hard drive and using this enclosure to retrieve my data. It was surprisingly easy and I managed to recover everything. Invaluable! It has the added advantage of serving as an additional ext HDD should I want it to. Simple way of keeping a back up of my data - laptop failed so pulled the SSD and put it in this enclosure. It just does what it's designed for, and the price is unbeatable. We use it to house a Crucial BX100 SSD and connect it to a XBox Series S as external storage. Performance is as expected, nearing 2.5Gbps on large files. Unexpected benefit is that it's a tool less design, very easy to slot the SSD in.
