Orico Transparent M.2 NVME USB-C SSD Enclosure - Black USB3.1 Gen.2

I bought this to help transition from one drive to another in a laptop upgrade. It did the job but the SSD got really hot! I thought it would be useful as some external storage. But given how hot it runs even after short use, it's only useful a few minutes at a time. Definitely not recommended, no SSD should get this hot. Been using it for several months now, primarily to game. I keep most of my games in the SSD stored in this enclosure. No issues such as throttling or disconnections due to overheating. I got it for my workshop where I want to backup M.2 SSd's from time to time. I have a truly tool-less one that one button and a spring clip and you can swap SSD's in an out. This one is slide the cover which is quite brittle plastic so not sure how it'll last being opened and shut a lot. Also it comes with a screwdriver to mount the SSD with a screw and brass washer/nut and a heat pad.
If you want a nice looking SSD enclosure to mount an SSD this is amazing value and works well.

It's ok. It powersoff or sleeps even (or maybe just straight up not detected) from a fresh boot. Tried Device Manager and turning off the option for Windows to let it sleep. Have to unplug then plug-in every time I want it to be accesible. In comparison to my Unitek one which is basically another drive for my PC this one is disappointing. It's ok. Generally, Orica products are on point but the lack of a lock or screw to fasten the cover is a bit silly.
I mean, there's always tape, but a screw or lock tab would have been ideal.
