This has cooled my laptop a lot, which makes me more comfortable to game on more intensive games such as Assassin's Creed. When all of the fans are on, the pad creates a moderate amount of noise, but a pair of noise-cancelling headphones and you will not be able to hear it at all. Overall, a great product that turned my laptop from a slab of lava to a cube of ice. Pretty good cooler. It has 4 fans, and they are separately powered in pairs. I actually removed the front two as I wanted space under the laptop. It is a really well made device. Pretty good cooler. I got this for a 17" gaming laptop so it's a little short on the sides but it does everything you need (not the products fault, I just wanted something for it to sit on when on my lap).
It goes "WHIRRR" and it keeps it cool so that's all you need. There's one angle other than flat and it's pretty much spot on.

This works relatively well with my laptop, I think the best is having it as a barrier that stops so much heat being trapped between the laptop and the surface. Would recommend as basic cooling unit, especially for the price.
