The HPS700 500gig SSD Drive is very good, if fact i have a fer of these including the smaller 250. I tend to use the 250gig as the OS and use a spindle drive for the backup. works great.. My initial reaction was that this SSD seemed light and would it hold up to use? After initally taking quite sometime to install, no fault of the SSD but rather my video card not able to recognise the USB drive, I have found the drive to be quick to load compared to the older hard drives that I had used. Installed this in my HP laptop 3 weeks ago, Simple to fit once I had removed the old HDD and there were no problems. Feels like a new laptop now with brilliant boot time and general response. If you thought the jump from a hard Disk to an SSD was good then remember this was to go from 180 MB/s to 550 MB/s or about three times faster (300%).
The Samsung EVO 970 Plus is giving me 3559 MB/s read and 3268 MB/s write speed, a jump of 650% on the SSD and almost 20 times faster than the HDD.

This is a seriously quick drive. I made it my boot drive (UEFI for both Ubuntu 18.04 and Windows 10) and I boot into Windows in seconds, same with Ubuntu. In fact the boot is so fast I get confused if I really issued a "sudo reboot" in Linux.
