Since installing this into my computer, I have added the EK heat sink to help keep the temps down (M.2 slot is above my graphics card). Love this storage solution... nice and fast! this is basically the best bang for buck you can get for a fast SSD that is also reasonably priced. with a doubled endurance write rating from the previous generation, it's a very solid performer.

Just like all NVME drive, it can heat up a lot when copying/downloading dozen of gigabytes at a time, but at least, it can do it in a reasonable time.

It's no doubt that this is one of best PCIe 3x4 NVMe drive in the market which offers great performance and reliability. If you bought this drive don't forget to install Samsung NVM Express driver which will give it another performance boost (2-3%). This was my first SSD purchase, my brother recommended the Samsung 970 M.2 to me and I am so happy with the results. Load times for Rainbow Six, Counter Strike and Call of Duty are instant. It's almost unnatural to me. I've been very impressed and would reccomend this to anyone.

The 500gb model only gave me about 470 gb of space. I didn't mind though, I would reccomend the 500gb+ options for gamers. Speed is incredible, compared to my ssd development setup this drive trumps the lot.

THis thing is hella quick. I noticed the speed does have random dips but im blaming that on drivers.
