New NVME drive for my homeserver. Motherboard found it okay and Debian Install went fine. So it works fine as a disk.

The M.2/NVME space has a few pitfalls for the unwary - such as NVME vs SATA (thankfully motherboards are getting better at clearly labeling this), PCI-E generation, IOB read/write and all the ways to 'game' the benchmarks, and also writes/day and lifetime writes. This drive met my needs, but your needs may be different, so it pays to check if the performance, endurance, (and lately with PCI-E gen5 sticks heat output!) are right for you.

These are great value, dependable drives that just seem to last. Although I usually stick with 512GB for personal boot drives this 1TB variant will allow my son a little more grace as he learns to manage his data. Recommended.
