WD Elements SE 1TB Portable External HDD - Black

I would purchase again, although I have found that when I wish to remove it from my computer, it won't let me. I have to shut down the computer before it can be removed. Works as advertised - it's a 4 TB external HDD that I use to backup critical files on my NAS.
Reads and write quickly.
Cable is a bit short.
Device was discounted at the time, so relatively cheap ($/TB).

Another Western Digital portable drive,over the years I have had many drives fron Wd ,all have been trouble free and perform well.

Simply plug it in and it's ready to go. I trust Western Digital more than any other hard drive manufacturer - the only thing wrong with my other WD drives (that caused me to purchase this one) is that they're "too small" - they're still working, but I needed more space. Now I have a 1TB, a 2TB and this 4TB - all WD drives. They'll probably still be running when I graduate to a Petabyte drive... Simply plug it in and it's ready to go.
