I have been having a great time using this paired up with my soundblaster Z SE soundcard but I do think that 350+ dollars is fairly steep. I picked this one up at 200 and can't see any negatives at that price.

Worth 200-250 in my opinion. sound range is great, open back means that air pressure wont give you headaches, if that's something that bothers you, great build quality, broad sound range.

Bought these on sale and they are the most comfortable pair of headphones I've ever worn could easily leave these on the whole day. Sound quality is also decent with a nice amount of bass. These were purchased as a gift for my daughter to use while playing her guitar (and a back up for me to use if she didn't like them). I did a lot of research into different headphones before buying these and these continually rated the best in and above their price range. The built quality is high, the look is cool retro and the sound is clean and crisp. Well worth the money. Note that these are open backed (monitor style) and you can hear the music if nearby so if you are looking for phones to use near other people...these may not be for you. The sound quality is excellent, they are so comfortable you don't even feel them on your head. In terms of using for gaming headphones they have great sound but don't block out any sound, so if you have a loud computer or keyboard it can tend to be a bit loud and annoying to use but after a while you don't even notice the sound while wearing them I recently bought this on a sale and I have to say this is the best pair of headphones I have ever owned. Sound is not as clinical as the 560S but with the more solid base and warmer sound, they have a more fun factor, especially with live music. They still have plenty of detail and the open cans gives you a wide sound stage. Picked them up at the sale price, you really can't go wrong. Using these with an E10K-TC, sounds fantastic, however at this point the headphones are quite old, and the HD560s outperform the 599s for less money. Buy these if you can get them cheaper than the 560s. A great sounding headphone much better then my old headphones which was the MX 40 from Audio Technica. The sound sounds extremely balanced, fits my ears pretty well and just was a straight up great purchase. One thing to note is that I did not buy this full price but during its sale so which is why I'd recommend to not try to buy this at full price if necessary.
