The battery is wonderful. The sound is wonderful. ANC, great.

Bluetooth range is terrible. They randomly crackle and glitch in the same room as the device you're connected to. Touch controls are terrible. Phone alerts will disconnect you from other devices. The touch controls can only be turned on and off via the app, they turn themselves back on not just when the phone resets, but randomly too. So you disconnect the headphones from the phone and then the touch controls reset themselves, and then you have to pair to the phone again to stop that happening, and then the phone alerts start interrupting your other devices, so you disconnect them...view more The battery is wonderful. Seems to get worse with every firmware update.

And then the app advertises all these features like sound staging and stuff. But simple features to adjust audio require a login? Why? Did I not spend enough on the headphones for Sennheiser to then need my login? What?

I "upgraded" from the HD 457BT for this. The sound quality is better, the battery is the same, the range is so much worse, the connection needs to be reset so much more often. The controls are the worst thing ever. Don't buy these.

My headphones gaslight me by pretending they're on 0 battery -- flickering red light and saying "recharge headset" then when I plug them in they're instantly at 100% battery etc, are are definitely actually fully charged. Regardless of that, connection is a pain and I very frequently have to reset them and repair, and it's horrible. They sound fantastic. Used these for a few weeks now.....here are some thoughts

Loved the sound quality of these. I can hear all the instrument separations and it made me re-fall in love with my old music.......unfortunately that's the only pro i can give it.

Cons
Auto connection - If your headphones in the case is not upright or bottom flat, then you risk your headphones auto connecting despite being in case. A firmware update did not solve this

Touch Controls - Extremely finnicky, tried many ways to make it consistent but ultimately i find myself controlling volume and track swapping on my phone over touch controls
EQ app - OMG this is one of the buggiest apps i ever used. it took forever to find my headphones and crashes alot. this is saved when it does work, it works well.
Comfort - These have strong clamps for my head and its not very comfortable for me. this will vary for each person, so i recommend you test these out to see if they are comfortable

Ultimately, These headphones are saved by their sound quality and it's enough to make feel mixed about the product. This isn't a bad buy if you are after good sound quality wireless headphones with other features that are serviceable. If you are after a more rounded headphones (i.e. a better balance of sound vs features), i 100% recommend the XM5s over these. As for me, im debating about returning these for the XM5s, but it is very hard to go to anything else after experiencing the sound of the momentum 4s

For my opinion, comparing to xm5, momentum 4 have better outlooking, better sound quality , better tone prompts , better comfort (although they both not comfortable), and super good at battery.
however its noise cancellation and sound personalization were worse than Sony and I think the quality control of momentum 4 was less than satisfactory.

The head detection was lovely, but not always work, sometimes fail for no reason.
Auto adaptive noise cancellation was not working well outdoors, silent and noise take turns.

I bought from pb tech queen street, it worked well at the beginning but after a week, there’s something wrong with the left cup, as long as I turn it on, there would be constant popping and hissing noises in the left cup although I didn’t play any music. It was very loud and not useable, I tried all the ways I can think of, including reconnect, close the noise cancellation , turn off the head detection etc, noise still very loud, so I went for the warranty and they changed me a new one.

the noise cancellation of the changed new one was worse than the one at the beginning, the noise cancellation of the first one was fine (but worse than xm5, it did block the environmental noise, but the noise cancellation also produced new noise when programming, although that wasn’t loud ), the noise cancellation of the changed one was not good, still can hear noise clearly under noise cancellation. I think their quality control wasn’t good, or I’m too bad luck.

Three days after I went for warranty, the right cup of my changed new one have noise as well, same condition with the first one, but lighter. This time more hissing noise, and occasionally popping noise, by the same time, I can not connect to Sennheiser Smart Control, this got solved until I deleted momentum 4 from my phone and paired again. I tried everything in the settings and the sennheriser control app, however the hissing noise still exists.

This time the hissing noise was not loud: if I listening to something with high volume, then I can’t hear that hissing noise from inside the right earbud, but, if I turn the music off, or I listen without high volume (either moderate or low volume) I can hear that hissing noise. Different from last time, this time it was not constant, it was “seasonal” or “regularly intermittent”. But still very annoyed.

I will continue “observe” for a few days see if I can accept this slight noise. If this noise became loud in the next few days, or I find I can’t tolerate this noise, I will go for warranty again. If the noise became in-tolerable and after I went for second time warranty the third one got the same story such only working well for the first few days, I would definitely return and change to other brands

I bought a momentum 4, it turned bad. I went for warranty and got a new one, and it turned again, and all of them happened within TEN days!
It made me feel so unhappy and started suspecting the quality of momentum 4.
I hope I was just pure bad luck. Because I really think it was the best fit one overall.

Headphones were faulty - which I understand can happen - so had the already annoying task of taking them back to the store to swap for new ones.

Realised later with some research online - some reported issues with connection drop outs because the auto-off mechanism would not recognise the headphones were currently in use (on my head) hence would switch off every 15, 30 or 60 mins depending on the setting.

1st service agent in the store was very unhelpful and was not able to replicate the issue so told me i had to take them back or PAY a restocking fee.

My 2nd pair were fine at first but now frustratingly started to experience connection drop outs again. Not a great experience but not planning to go back to that PB Tech store again so hoping they can be fixed with a future update.

First off do your research before spending this amount, I had look reviews on here and some problems may still occur.

I find with the anc that it hurts a bit with my ears and soreness around the ear cup area, with the anc quality it's like just a marketing tool they use because it used mics to reduce the out side noise I don't think it's that much better than the noise isolation I had with my 350's. So if you want the best and have them for years pick these if you'd like but I think now every headphone is good enough now days you don't need to spend this much on a pair. I'm a bit disappointed in myself thinking I need a flagship when the lower priced headphones do the job good enough.

In the end it all depends what you want and the things you'd prefer like battery I'll mange to probably get 2-3 weeks worth of use. Hope this was helpful
