Technics A800 Wireless Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones - Black

I purchased these during a Black Friday sale, which at the time was much cheaper than the Sony 1000XM4's
In terms of sound quality, on default EQ settings, they are slightly bass heavy - which is easily fixed with minor tweaks on the EQ in the app; -3, -2, +2, +1, 0
After this they sounded a lot better, dropping the mid-bass slightly and boosting the mid-range

I am currently using vintage 3-way Technics SB-C350 loud speakers (from 1988), and the sound on these headphones is almost comparable
Their earbuds are also award winning, I'm using the older AZ80 - the newer AZ100 are now out (and will easily beat most, if not all)

Later on, during another sale, I finally picked up the Sony 1000XM4's - the fit is a lot more comfortable, however the sound is not even close
The Sony sound flat and muffled, by comparison, a slight EQ tweak in the mids and highs address this
But the issue is with the tuning of the drivers and enclosures
This can be confirmed by using both in the off mode, and an analog 3.5mm input signal (this is also a good way to break them in, 30+ hours)
The Technics simply excel in the sound and imaging

The only negative is the weight of these, and slight discomfort after extended listening periods - for this reason only, I prefer the Sony's

I've had these for a year or two, using them every day. Battery life is great, they're very comfortable, the sound quality is perfectly good enough, the mic quality is fine... As others have said, few annoying artifacts in the nc when loud noises around, but otherwise nc is mostly good, and ambient mode handy. The big but is that they've just broken while I was extending the arms to put them on. Sad to leave them behind, but I won't be buying again. I've had these for a year or two, using them every day. Cound not be happier, sounds superb, easy to connect, noise canceling is second to none.
Looked at the two top Sony's but couldn't justify the extra money, and these look soo much better.

Loving these headphones so far (about a month). I don't want to buy the Sony or Bose headphones because they are far too expensive. This is very good for the price. Sound quality is great (though I'm not an audiophile) and noise cancelling is excellent. The only issue I have is it sometimes hurts the top of my head. It grips quite tight, but that also means it won't fall off your head. Definitely recommend if you want great headphones at a cheaper price than the big brands. I've used thewm daily for 3 weeks & had the battery low once after 10 hours of mixed standby & usage

volume is more than adequate, I haven't needed to pump it at over 30% to get that heavy, heavy monster sound

controls & bluetooth pairing/ connection are easy & there is 0 need to download or use the reportedly clunky app.

Battery life is huge & recharge is fast- for short charging you can get an instant 5 hours charge in 10 mins. They do require a full, long (3 hr) charge, out of the box.

Comes with a solid case, male- male jack cable & aeroplane adapter

only con I can think of, is that they're very smooth & not super tight, so not suitable for any vigorous or inverted physical activity.

The sound and noise cancelling on these headphones is exceptional. Also despite being grabbed by an angry guy on a bus who tried to snap them in half at the top.
