Logitech MK550 Wireless Desktop Keyboard & Mouse Combo

Not exactly what I was expected. The keyboard is pretty convenient, but noisy. Most extra keys work OK except "Messaging", and may be "Media Center" out of the box, but if you install Logitech drivers, you will get a couple of useful programs, one of them allows you to remap additional buttons so you could run some apps. Big Delete button and Insert at the top can make editing harder than it could be sometimes. Really weird combination for right mouse button menu (Fn+PrintScreen).
Before you buy this keyboard I would recommend to go to the actual shop and check it, or at least see some videos on Youtube. Do not repeat my mistakes.

Not all Fn-related and additional buttons work on Linux, some of them are impossible to use (like Zoom, Fn-A,B,C, etc.).
The mouse is good, no questions here at all.

I've never used a Ergonomic keyboard before, I will not got back to a regular board again. The price was good, the keys comfortable just what I've come to expect from Logitech. Excelent in all areas. I enjoyed this keyboard up until the letters started wearing off. This took about 12 months until it started. now 24 months later half the keys are missing the letters because they've worn off! The mouse is absolutely awesome. Feels like a proper high-end mouse. The keyboard, however, is horrible. Feels and sounds like a typewriter. Buttons feel very cheap. When you lightly shake the keyboard you can hear the plastic. To be totally honest, this bundle isn't worth it. The mouse is absolutely awesome. Feels like a proper high-end mouse. This is my second purchase of this product, I love them and prefer them over other brands. I have used these for a long time. I bought the second one because I run two computers nd so wanted to have a good experience on both.

The shape and tactile keyboard is better for my larger than average hands which solved an issue with hand-cramps from straight standard keyboards. the shortcut keys on the top of the keyboard are great too rather than scrambling for setting on screen. I find the slightly fuller mouse well shaped to my hand, again minimising strain even while gaming over an eight-hour session. The one issue I have with it is the configuration of the home, end, insert, end etc keys are different to my other logitech keyboards. I constantly find myself deleting things instead of moving to the end of a line.

As I say, a minor personal annoyance, but enough to make it a 4 star instead of 5 for me. It seems like Logitech could have some uniformity in its layout. I have to say, this is a very comfortable and practical keyboard and mouse combo. Have been using this while working from home. Excellent product. Minor issue though. I had typing issues with the USB receiver plugged directly into the desktop. However I used the supplied USB extension to locate the receiver behind the keyboard and had no further issues. Excellent product. Minor issue though. These are a great functional set and being wireless is even better. We mark each piece (kbrd/mse/usb) to distinguish between the various sets in use at any one time (makes life SO much easier after having visitors working in the office) These are a great functional set and being wireless is even better.
