I previously had an older entry level style gaming keyboard and it was finally time to retire it. This has been a great new keyboard with many features I'm happy with. The RGB lights paired with steel series' software makes linking and editing your lighting profiles as easy as possible.

This keyboard is "Whisper Quiet" which is actually a type of membrane switch. For those that want a quiet keyboard with a nice tactile feel, then this is a great choice. If you want a more classic mechanical switch, then you will probably not enjoy the feel of these keys. Included is also a magnetic wrist support that can easily be removed if you want. I wasn't a fan of it on day 1 (mainly because I wasn't used to it). But after a few weeks using it, I actually enjoy the feel of the support.

Good value for money, the only quirk is the the shift characters like @#$% are on the bottom of the keys ... for the older brain, that can take a little getting used too, or it's just quirky and kewl!!

The back lighting is very basic, so if that is important, spend more, go up the food chain. Great touch, compact footprint, cable routing options are well thought out.
