Hit the Rails
After the Fall of France in June 1940 victorious German forces commandeered a number of French vehicles for their own use, among them the 105hp engine AMD 4-wheel drive car, which packed a fair punch with its turreted 25mm gun and 7.5mm machine gun. Around 200 were pressed into German service as the P204(f), 43 of which were fitted with train wheels for use on the railways. Most were also given a large frame antenna and new radio, and packed off to the Eastern Front where they would provide protection for the crucial rail network from local partizans and the Red Army, and they did so until the end of the Second World War.

Left: The riveted armor and shape of the former armored car are depicted in style, the unusual train wheels making for a fascinating subject.
Middle: Two lengths of rail are included in the kit for a total of 400mm, giving you much greater flexibility in the choice of diorama subject.
Right: Choose whether to assemble with the hull side door open or closed, the former showing off great detail with separate parts for accessories.
Left: The engine cover can also be assembled as open or closed, and there is plenty of fine molding on display in the depiction of the 4-cylinder.
Middle: Figures add a great deal to your diorama and this kit includes two in natural pose, depicting a commanding officer and grunt in accurate uniform.
Right: A comprehensive sprue renders such accessories as helmets, canteens and more in 1/35 scale and adds yet more detail to your masterpiece.
