Have been using a few of these for bootable USB-based operating system for Raspberry Pis,
everything works okay except the speed, it is okay, but quite frankly I expected better speeds,
still, value for money - quick and easy and small for what I needed it for,
a proper USB HDD or SSD definitely works better for the OS system, but then ya have the price. not sure about these other reviews grumbling, it seems alright for me.

This USB is kind of like a shitty cable that been used for years, you have to bend it in the right way to get it to connect which results in it constantly disconnecting when you are trying to transfer files. Spend a bit more and get a better usb, its not worth the money. I have bought multiple ADATA USBs on multiple occasions for many different purposes. On every single occasion, the drive has eventually died and the data on it becomes inaccessible. The same has happened to many of my friends. It's as if ADATA USBs have the world's smallest read/write limit, because after only a few read/writes, it just dies. This is probably why they instantly stop working when you try burning a disk image to it. But even in regular use cases, such as storing a few photos on it, which is what my friend did, it still dies and all of your data will be lost. I've used about 5 of these Adata USBs and all have stopped working. The read/write limits on these things are so small you cannot even write a disk image to one of these things without it breaking completely. I stored some regular image files on one once, and after a few days (a few read/writes) the USB stopped working completely, as if there were no internal components at all.
Don't be fooled by the price, these are not worth your money. Purchasing a good quality Sandisk would be much better as it would last far longer than one of these things.
