I've experienced my phone overheating with my previous windscreen suction phone holder so this car vent mounted holder does a great job at keeping my phone cool especially if I have the air con on! One star off 'cause you can't put your phone in with one hand unless you're really nimble! I suppose you wouldn't (shouldn't) have to remove it once you are driving... Overall I am satisfied with my purchase! The sides grip strongly which is good but also harder to remove and place phone. The connector to the air vents slats is a bit short so check that out.

Easy to install, the storage line is very reasonable, but you can't install the phone with one hand when driving. In order to drive safely, fix the phone before driving. The mechanism holding the phone is permanently sprung pulling the clamp arms together making it awkward to insert/adjust phone as you have to pull it apart while inserting the phone. Much easier to use mechanisms exist - e.g. the clamp being pulled apart by a spring with a ratchet to keep it closed when you squeeze it together. It also didn't fit the vents on my car - if your car vents are small/shallow it may have problems attaching. Thankfully PB were OK taking it back as a return.
