We wanted something tough and at good price point to allow the 11 year old to get going. As a new parent for a 10yr old transferring from a tablet to a chrome book, I think these are ok for around the $320 price (including carry case). Although the specs are low, these are oriented at kids using them purely as a learning device (mainly at school). It has low hard drive space, so just about everything must be done online or with cloud services. Logging into my child's profile was easy and everything was there. Not as versatile as a tablet, but confident in my child having a limited device for use as school.
