I was told that a KFD Universal Power Adaptor was fine for my MacBook Pro, as the University branch did not have any Apple adaptors. Well, the first KFD one snapped off at the connection DURING LOCKDOWN, but could also have happened previously when I was offshore. I ordered a replacement online that worked for a couple of months, developed intermittent faults, and then stopped working altogther. Now I have a proper Apple adaptor.
