NETGEAR Homeplug AV2 PL1000 - Wall-plug (AC1000) Powerline Extender

wasn't sure about this as first generation was hit and miss. Took a punt on the latest AV2 model to sort out black hole in one of the rooms, and it works great. Only have 100mbs fibre and pretty much getting that through these adapters in an old house with old wiring. Good solid connection too. There is no way it will do 1gbs, But if you have wifi dropouts in the house , and happy with around 100mbs bandwidth then these will work fine. wasn't sure about this as first generation was hit and miss. Brilliant piece of technology this, I had no idea this existed until it was recommended from a friend. Saved me from running ugly long Ethernet cords through my apartment and the internet speed is fantastic. Perfect for gaming, no lagging at all. Had issues with our new fibre install as our old power line units would not work with the new speed [950mbps] as we had been on ADSL. Tried to use D-Link and they would not talk to our 2degrees modem or our smart tv which is 4 years old,so had to change to Netgear. Worked withing 10 minutes of install. Wellington store staff where very helpful with our issues. If your ISP tells you not to use these units just persevere.
