It worked like it should. Easy to set up. I had it sorted in minutes. Would recommend. The only issue is it makes it hard to plug in another thing into a double plug. I bought this to try and fix the very spotty internet in my bedroom that is on the the second floor of the house, and opposite side to the modem.
The set up was so easy - I'm not even sure I followed the instructions properly. I plugged in the first unit and connected it to the modem. Then just went upstairs and plugged in the second unit to the wall. It worked straight away! I switched my devices over to the TP-Link Wi-Fi and everything worked perfect!
I no have zero issues on my cellphone (short videos would sometimes buffer for too long and even Messenger messages could take time to load)

The connection to my TV, well at least it does connect now! Before it wouldn't even connect but the Google Chromecast would work - however, it would take many attempts to connect my phone to the Chromecast as the internet would constantly drop. Now the connection is much more stable since it is directly to the TV - it still does occasionally drop but recovery is much quicker (if streaming, the apps just buffer briefly rather than throwing up an error message)
So, although not perfect, I'm now not getting stressed or frustrated at all trying to use my phone or watch TV - so highly recommend!
It probably could be perfect if I played around with the settings (as per the advice of another review) but I'm too lazy for that and its definitely working 100x better than it was so - I am happy.

Went into te rapa store to get a bunch of other things to retro fit garage and an awesome staff member suggested buying this product - was told it works through the electricity cabling - didn't even know this tech existed. Plugged it in and it works straight away, now have wifi in garage. Thanks heaps te rapa pb tech. I was hesitant it would work between our detached garage and main house, but it connected without issues. Speed with the internet was in the 50-70mbps range compared to 10x time that through the main access point in the house. I expected a bit more as that’s a 3yo house and wiring is supposed to be good quality, but don’t really know what the reasons are. Don’t really need it to be any faster and it fully solved the problem for us.

Signal strength is good. So good even some devices from the house prefer it over the in-house AP.

Good degree of configurability: modern encryption standards, signal strength.

I like how it’s not taking a power outlet and passes power through, but both devices are quite wide, so if we plug them into a double outlet, it would take both.

Provided the wiring between to two power points is on the same circuit, and of good quality (less noise), the quality of the network link is very good, and a good wifi signal is produced at the far end from the router.
I love the power pass-through. In this way, you can use a wall plug without loosing the use of it.

I was skeptical because I had a Main Switch inside the house and outside in the shed (Apparently, this would slow down internet speeds when it travels through the Main Switches), but it surpassed expectations. It works flawlessly and I'm at least 200m+ away from the Modem. My internet speeds are 16Mbps (Im still on ADSL), but this is with 4 Devices connected (1 Ethernet, 3 Wi-Fi).
