This is the ideal AP fro a home environment due to its price point & wireless performance. It's smaller footprint & slim design look great too.

Sure, there are plenty of more advanced APs available, however they're around twice the price of the AC-Lite.

Bought this after a succession of older access points failed to stop my ESP8266 IoT devices from dropping offline. All is now stable and the range on my iPhone is noticeably better on this AP than it is with my FritzBox 7490. The Web management software had a short fight with Windows 10 Updates, Windows Firewall and Java which is likely down to Microsoft’s obsession with forcing random annoying updates on anyone who hasn’t switched to Linux than anything else Bought this after a succession of older access points failed to stop my ESP8266 IoT devices from dropping offline. Configuration was reasonably straightforward using the phone based app. It is not entirely intuitive, but doesn't take too much to figure it out. For commercial setups you may need to use a web browser but for domestic setups the app is fine. Performance and stability seem very good. I have not thoroughly tested the range capabilities but it does seem to have a better range than standard WAPs. Installed this in my father's home as he was complaining of very slow wifi speed.
I already have one of these in my house and am very happy with it.
Download speed jumped from 20Mb/s with the ISP provided modem/router to 180Mb/s.

Ubiquiti gear is great. These AP's are powerful and when using more than one and the Ubiquiti Secure Gateway product it hands over devices from one AP to another as you move around. Basically a MESH network but business grade Ubiquiti gear is great.
