NETGEAR EX6110 (AC1200) Dual-Band WiFi Range Extender

Pros: After having a fibre broadband upgrade completed recently in my home, the necessary placement of the modem in a downstairs location resulted in weak reception in some of the upstairs, rear rooms. This very simple, economical and compact range extender, once placed into an upstairs wall socket, now provides excellent reception throughout the home, on both 2.4 and 5.0 GHz bands. I would recommend it to anyone needing the same results. Excellent product, excellent service, which is why PBTech has been my primary supplier of such goods for over 10 years. I also had some excellent telephone assistance from Spark to confirm some modem connection requirements. Cons: none. It works exactly as it should.

I see a lot of good reviews here, maybe they were just happy that the Internet worked in a particular room. In my experience, the fast lane tech doesn't work: it's just broken. The signal from this is weak, especially 5GHz and it drops out. Worst of all, 250mbps ends up 20mbps. From high speed fibre to literally ADSL speeds. Big oof. My PS5 actually does better from the source router. Wish I could return it and wish I'd bought the cheaper one and not wasted so much money. Unlike other reviewers, I can give 5 STAR for this wifi extender. I bought this for new house, which does not have wifi coverage in my room. I placed this wifi extender in the sitting room and I get 100% strong connection with 866/866 connection; 4k videos are very stable with clean stream. I bought this because of its design for wall-plug, as I was owning another which of EU plug, for which I need multi-plug socket, but was with more stable and greater connectivity. Simple to set up but...
There was about 15m between the router and the range extender, then about 15 meters to the security camera.
Sometimes the connection worked, sometimes it didn't.
I tried for about a week without success.
I had to change to an ethernet cable. Simple to set up but...

Easy setting up and now it automatically connect as soon as it’s plugged in and moved around the house, great product my my life awesome.

This is a great little unit that takes up minimal space on the double plug in the hallway, Relatively easy to set up by following the online links and setting up using the computer.

I read the reviews before ordering this, and I was hopeful that it would fix my wifi problem of not reaching the room my PC is in. It's amazing! I don't need to leave doors open now and it consistently provides 3 bars of reception. I wish I'd bought it years ago instead of having an ethernet cable running through the house. I returned to Netger WiFi 5, while there are wifi 6 and 7 available in the market, but why? I was behind speed and then I bought 3 WiFi 6 and 1 WiFi 7 of other brands; I had to mothballed them because of their slow speeds, often disconnection and reconnection, and low handshake speed (286/286 only), while this (EX6100) handshake speed is 866/866 (upload/download). Now you judge, if I have done a foolish thing. Both the 1st and 2nd extender have handshake speeds of 866/866. MAP: ROUTER => EX6100-NO.1 (866/866) => EX6100-NO.2 (866/866) => LAPTOP (866/866).
