While others have mentioned, it does have an awful smell when taken out of the box, but left it outside for a few hours and mostly gone. I find this very comfortable to work with and it helps to reduce the noise of keystrokes as well as being a great mousepad, and pleasant to rest your wrists on. I find the size to be perfect - not too big, not too small. I have had one for 2 years (still looks great and no obvious signs of wear), and just purchased another for our other desk. At first was hesitant but wanted it for the size as its the same as my desk. Perfect fit and comfortable, more so used as a control pad and have a glass pad on top for my mouse however it works wonders. Very nice and great for the price! Great materials, rubbery and sits flat, grippy underneath for the surface. It has a large surface area which is more than enough without limitations on mouse movements. I use a table with a glass top for my music production. I searched for a large mouse pad on PB Tech and found the Razer Gigantus Gaming Mouse Pad. When it arrived, I discovered that it only covered half the table, so a second mat was bought. The glass table top is now completely covered and the pads are firmly in place and do not move. I am very pleased with the purchase of both mats, and find that they are warm to the touch as opposed to the cold of the glass table top. A great purchase! Cheers and many thanks!

Reviews in the past that I read said the mat has an odd smell but I only noticed it as I pulled it out of the box, since then have not noticed it once. Awesome size for a keyboard and mouse with lots of space to spare. This is my first time buying a mouse pad, and I have to say that I am impressed by how much smoother it makes my mouse move, thought it does get dirty very easily.
