I needed a stand to reach eye level with a laptop on a standing desk - so far only model seen that provides this height. It's plastic but the design seems solid enough for it's use. Good price. The OEM Nextstand is great piece of office equipment. We have about 10 of them in our office. They are easy to use and fold down to take home. These are a classy little laptop stand - we have 3 now at our co-working space and members like them. They also don't take up much room if not in use. When they've been on sale they are well worth it. At their normal retail I suspect there might be better value alternatives. Used it for three work laptops over the last two years (big ol' Dell Inspiron 17, little HP Spectre X360 13", and now a Asus Zenbook Duo 14"). It's quite happily supported all of them.

The Nexstand was exactly as described: Works well, easy to assemble, excellent price, fits both of our laptops. Even comes with it's own carry-bag!
The only reason for not giving it five stars was it's fairly flimsy feel. However, having used it for several weeks, it hasn't broken, stretched or removed any fingers, so all is good.

- Stable and secure; surprisingly sturdy
- Excellent ventilation
- Good range of heights
- Very easy/quick to setup and pack down
- Efficient/convenient size when packed

Cons:
- Increasing the height narrows the width - wouldn't use at max height with 15+" laptops
- Laptop can't close fully when on stand (have to use power button for sleep mode)
