I picked up two of these for places like behind the tv where I just need a couple of ports. I ran a Cat6 cable and ran one over POE to my TV, where it's hooked into the tv and our media centre. It works amazingly, especially if you are using a ubiquiti gateway. I was able to use it to vlan my tv and few other things off of my main network and get full line speed out of them. I highly recommend these to anyone that needs to just have a few ports in places away from your main router or gateway. Excellent little devices.

I prefer a managed switch. I like to know what's happening. With a Unifi environment, this is a small, relatively cheap, managed switch. I can see what's connected, I can control connections. It's also able to be powered over PoE. I have a couple, they're great for an office or smart-entertainment hub locations.

Faster might be good. I'm not sure I'd want to run a company backbone through it. There are other better more expensive options for that.

Bought this to pair with the UniFi Express, and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Bought 2 of these recently and are pretty much plug'n'play. I have since used the controller to make a few changes. But please be aware these are poe IN only. Bought one, tried it, came back for another. Love being able to use PoE and avoid another wall-wart. Handy to have e.g. behind the TV to connect multiple devices there to one cat6 wall port, without adding unnecessary cables and taking up another power socket. Also nice to see in the UniFi app what's connected where, and be able to configure the right port as necessary. Bought one, tried it, came back for another. Super small form factor, and with a design and finish that you don't mind being on show (unlike some switches!) Easy to adopt into my UniFi instance, and I powered it using PoE+ which was really straightforward. Provides the stated throughput speeds for the devices connected to it. Would definitely recommend this where you need a small switch that is a good price and easy on the eye, and if you're already in the UniFi ecosystem it's a no-brainer. Nothing sophisticated here - I liked it as it was USBC powered which suited my setup and was a good price. Simple and just worked. Didn't like the power supply port being on the front - tricky for cable management but worked just fine.
