I have a very old first generation usb hub. When a friend asked my advice about getting one for her iMac, I did some on line research and the verbatim seemed to offer everything needed. Once that decision was made I realised my existing hub was outdated so decided to order two new hubs. It works well for me and I have heard no complaints from my friend. I'm someone who gets really annoyed at not having enough USB ports (seriously, laptop manufacturers, what makes you think we only want two ports?!), so this was great to provide extra ports when we need them. It just works as expected. Obviously if you plug something like a mobile phone into it it will try and charge it and that can cause problems with expecting too much power from it. But generally its just fine. It just works as expected.
