Quality cable, connects power wiring

Docking one star because I had to buy a cable to determine its wiring, it's nicely constructed and seems good quality.

The USB 2.0 spec section 6.4.4 specifically disallows A-A cables, however obviously they do have some practical uses. There are two "right ways" to wire them in practice, depending on the application: one is to leave VBUS disconnected, the other is to connect VBUS straight through.

This cable connects VBUS straight through, so it works for situations where one end is plugged in to a normal USB A receptacle on a computer/hub/etc and the other is a USB A receptacle on a device that needs to be powered by the cable. If bot...view more
