Tested SATA connection on a SSD and a HDD from a Windows 10 PC. HDD came up just fine in Windows Explorer. Scan for Device Changes needed in Device Manager for the SSD. Overall very satisfied. Pretty happy with the performance. Have been using it for over 6 months to copy files off of internal drives from various laptops and external drives that were inside of damaged enclosures. I bought a previous docking station at a similar price for some old hard drives only to find it impossible to use. It didn't support IDE and the software it needed wouldn't communicate, so it was never used.

This on the other hand is exactly what you need! It just works; plug it in & go. Even if you have no idea what you're doing, it'll work. Unlike my old docking station it doesn't take up much space either.

It only arrived today so I can't say how long it'll last, but long enough to get the data you need & save expensive tech fees no doubt.
