Works good, and can achieve USB3/SATA6 speeds. However it doesn't pass through SMART data on drives that support it. The adapter worked well both for the Samsung 850 EVO SSD from my old, dead PC and a Mac Mini’s 120GB SATA HDD. (I had given the Mac HD to a friend but he returned it, saying it wasn’t working for his IBM clone PC, so I was very pleased to see this adapter having no trouble with that drive.) Tested SATA connection on a SSD and a HDD from a Windows 10 PC. HDD came up just fine in Windows Explorer. Scan for Device Changes needed in Device Manager for the SSD. Overall very satisfied.
