My travel headset comes with a 4-pole audio jack (stereo phone + mic pins). Although the headset comes with the adapter to split them into separate phones and mic jacks, unfortunately the adapter introduced annoying noise. Sucks because I used the headset for online meetings / conferences.
Sound Blaster X G1 exactly solves this problem, as the product is essentially a sound card which preserves the audio signal quality. The sound card is also small enough it could fit into my travel headset case. It's also extremely easy to install.
