It is very lightweight, compact and easy to set up/take down, so is perfect for taking out on trips. It is well made and does everything that I need it to do. The only fault that I can give it is that it's a bit expensive (yet this is one of Manfrotto's cheaper tripods! I upgraded and am happy with the stability of this model taking photos. I upgraded in order to be able to use my DSLR to record basketball games but have found that it is a little sticky when panning. Bought this product based on reviews we had seen online and I can only agree with them fully that this is a quality product. It’s made well with every Snap clasp, lever and mechanism working smoothly and with ease. My camera novice husband is using it mostly and finds it really easy to get the camera in the right position and angle for what he’s up to. Can’t reccommend more for the price it is! The tripod Hold my Camera solidly with out sagging, Its and easy thumb role to loosen and swivel the camera left or wright and a button on the side role in any direction. Both my photography and video work has improved using it . You must splay the feet out properly so it does not move on you. Manfrotto seems to have put a lot of thought in to the design of it . You will notice that the legs and the center post with is not round but more triangle in shape , allowing it to but lock tight and steady . I do not recommend normally using the center post but it is better other tripods I have used. Once you gotten used to the handle grip its far easier than levers I used to fiddle with , making it quick to adjust on to other scenes . I wanted a ball head to do video and works well ,even stills has improved.

The wheel on the hande make for quick and easy tightening and lossinging of the head. It's tallest state is a great hight and you wouldn't want it any taller. Carry bag allows you to doing it over your shoulder to carry around with you. Camera is quick and easy to attach and secure. Be careful when taking your camera off, as larger camera could fall off when not secure. Had no problems with my large lens with the tripod.
