Be weary that if you are doing anything that does not go directly into a monitor there is a good chance it will look to be working and then go to black on MacOS. It might be ok on Windows but I would not recommend for Macs and to look for another brand.

it just loses connection when it overheats, buy a different cable I dont know which one but just not this one worked fine for about 2 hours

Excellent service. Product available well ahead of date advised on order. Changed order slightly and just made a note - hoping it could be changed. I bought this cruxtec cable to connect my MacBook Air (latest OS-X version) to a TV(latest firmware).
Totally unreliable, it connects and works for a random time from a few minutes to say 5 minutes, then the TV complains it lost connectivity.

I just bought another Belkin cable yesterday, no more issues at all, works perfectly.

So this Cruxtec is useless, be warned, stay clear. I bought this cruxtec cable to connect my MacBook Air (latest OS-X version) to a TV(latest firmware).

The cable also overheats to an alarming heat level. I troubleshooted and borrowed a different hdmi to USB-C cable (1 metre as well) from a friend and it worked fine. This is now the second one I’ve bought after the first one losing signal and had it replaced. Supposedly, another one of these were returned the same day with the same issues so it seems as though they are faulty. As visible in the image, it’s detected by the laptop and the monitor recognises an external display attempt, but the connection is thwarted by the cable. It connects and then disconnects constantly, and I hate it so much. It is a gamble.
