Cruxtec 2m USB-C to DisplayPort v1.4 Cable - 8K/60Hz & 4K/144hz & 2K/240Hz

The cable works incredibly well however I have 1 flaw. If you travel a lot/plan to unplug your device from your monitor a lot, then you will need to unplug the monitor's connection (output/displayport side) and then plug in the devices connection (input/usb-c side) otherwise you wont get a signal. This is especially annoying if you leave your monitor at home with the cable plugged into it, since when you plan to use the monitor, you need to unplug the output, then plug in the input device, and then plug in the output to send the signal to the monitor. With that being said, it is a good cable as I've been able to use my monitor to get up to 200Hz on 1440p with my MacBook Air and I dont get black screens anymore compared to when I had my HDMI cable and would get them very frequently.

I think that if you plan on taking your laptop with you everywhere and still want to play some games on the monitor when you get home, I recommend just getting a normal display to display cable and also getting a usb-c to display adapter if you are like me and use a MacBook Air since it only has ThunderBolt ports, MagSafe charging and the headphone jack.

I know it's probably obvious, but just to confirm: this cable will not work the other way around (displayport plugged in to a PC, USB-C plugged into a thunderbolt display like the Apple Studio display). I'm sure it's perfectly great as a way to drive a monitor from a MacBook or Surface or any other portable computer with USB-C output. The cable has worked on the first 2 days of purchase and then stopped working completely.
To make sure, I have tried it with my Mac Studio and then with my PC Laptop. It just stops as if there's no cable connected at all.

I don't know where this Cruxtec brand from? It's so obscure that I couldn't find any dedicated website for it.
Probably it's from very unreliable Chinese factory with a sticker on it (it's not really cheap either!). NOT RECOMMENDED!!

I found that the cable will only work now if the USB C is plugged in first, then display. This forces handshake sequence.

The cable works but if you unplug it from your windows surface and then try to plug it back in the Samsung 49inch monitor just wont pick it back up. Sometimes it would with a restart and sometimes it would not. Very annoying so not recommended if trying to get it to work with a surface and a 49inch Samsung monitor. I had to purchase the cable to get full resolution on the 49inch monitor which worked when the cable worked. Had to go back to using the USB-c to displayPort adaptor which works when you unplug it and plug it back in. After about a month or two, I didn't use it for a bit, then I tried to use it, and it stopped. The monitor for a second detected a new connection before saying no signal.
Looking at some other reviews on here, others seem to be having the same problem. I would stay away from this cable if you're wanting... well, a good cable for more than a few uses.

I recently purchased this DisplayPort to USB-C 1.4 cable from PB Tech for my Samsung LC49G95T monitor. Right away, I noticed a sharper image and higher resolution compared to my previous cable—proof that this cable does exactly what it claims.

Unfortunately, a couple of weeks later, my monitor developed a fault, which appears unrelated to the cable. Still, during the time it worked, the cable delivered steady performance without any signal dropouts. The 1-meter length, however, turned out to be too short for my setup, so a bit of guidance on choosing an appropriate length would have been nice.

I also discovered that if you want the full 240Hz refresh rate this monitor supports, you actually need a 2.1 cable. The 1.4 standard can’t quite reach 240Hz. Aside from those factors, this is a solid, reliable option for anyone who only needs up to 1.4 specs and can manage with the 1m length. I’d recommend it overall, especially if you don’t require the highest possible refresh rate—and be sure to measure your setup carefully first!
