Bought it, got delivered, opened the box, plugged it into the Display port, plugged in the HDMI cable into it and bam! simply works, display information showed up exactly as it's meant too.. simply works! Bought this to connect my second monitor to my PC, because I didn't feel like buying a whole new cable when I had a perfectly good HDMI. My PC only has available DP ports and the display has HDMI and DP.
Anyway, it was all fine for the first 3-6 weeks, then my screen started flickering, disconnecting and reconnected multiple times in a minute, and showing some static on and off.
I have tested all the ports with different monitors, cables, and computers and it is only ever an issue with the adapter.
I give it two stars, because while its a pain in the arse it does do its job mostly. Perfect little adapter. I have so many HDMI cables and only a display port out of my graphics card, so instead of getting a whole new cable I just got this wee fella.
