Installed a Crucial MX500 500GB (see separate review) into my HP Laptop. The 1TB 2.5 inch drive that was the main drive was placed into the Universal 9.5mm SATA 2nd HDD/SSD Hard Drive Caddy and this caddy replaced my DVD Drive which I basically never use. Installation was simple and the 9.5mm caddy was a perfect fit. Used constantly for 3 weeks so far and am happy with the product Installed a Crucial MX500 500GB (see separate review) into my HP Laptop. 5 year old laptop needed more storage. I could have replaced the HDD with a bigger one but by replacing the unused optical drive with this caddy and an SSD It not only got a storage increase but moving the OS to the SSD It also gained a noticeable responsiveness boost. If I was being unreasonable and really looking for something to complain about the only thing is the lack of a positive lock to prevent the caddy from working loose, but it is a good friction fit and after 1 month of daily mobile use it has not moved. 5 year old laptop needed more storage.
