Worked fine to start off with

I run an Unraid home server, which I needed a USB add-in card for to free up my motherboard for VM passthrough. The case bracket on the card I received was not square with the card, which meant that fixing it to the case would partly unseat the card. Things worked fine at first, with a minor hiccup that was fixed by reinserting the card. However, as time went on, the card would drop the USB connection more and more frequently. This was able to be fixed by a reboot up until it wasn't.
After multiple dropouts, the card had corrupted the filesystem on my boot device, so that the server would no longer boot, even with the add-in card removed.
